PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Began his career in Ghana in 2006, featuring for Sekondi Hasaacas FC, a Ghanaian professional association football club based in his home city of Sekondi-Takoradi. On Apr. 26, 2009, he moved for an undisclosed fee from Asante Kotoko to FC Basel in the Swiss Super League on a three-year contract, making his debut in a 2–0 defeat to FC St. Gallen on July 12, 2009. Inkoom was a key member of FC Basel’s double trophy winning team in 2010, which included the Swiss Championship and domestic cup. In 2011, Inkoom moved to FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine. However, in Feb. 2013, he moved to Bastia on a loan deal for the rest of the 2013-14 campaign. The following season, Inkoom moved again, going on a six-month loan, this time to Greek club Platanias in Jan. 2014.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Inkoom is a former member of the Black Satellites, playing for the club at the 2009 African Youth Championship in Rwanda. The team ultimately won the title. Inkoom made his debut with the senior side, the Black Stars, on Nov. 20, 2008, against Tunisia. He received his first start for Ghana in the World Cup qualifier against Benin on March 28, which Ghana won 1–0. Inkoom formerly was a member of the Black Starlets, Ghana’s national U-17 football team. He was in the extended squad for the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru.
With 46 caps and one international goal for Ghana, Inkoom has been a member of the Black Stars for the past two world cups. While he did not see minutes in Brazil, he did feature in consecutive matches during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He saw 113 minutes against team USA in the round of 16 and 74 minutes against Uruguay in the quarterfinals.
