On Tuesday, United goalkeeper Travis Worra and midfielder Rob Vincent paid a holiday visit to children at the pediatric unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Both players spent their morning taking pictures, signing autographs and putting smiles on the faces of children who are either hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment for serious illnesses including cancer.

A touching experience for both players, both felt honored to take part in the visit. "It was a humbling experience at MedStar Georgetown [hospital] today,” Worra said. “It brings me so much joy to be able to spread the holiday cheer to the kids and their families at the hospital where they need it the most."

"It was truly inspiring and makes us realize how lucky we are to be healthy and able to play professional soccer for a living,” Vincent said. “We're honored to have been able to meet the children and hopefully brighten their day."

Through the team's partnership with MedStar Health, United teamed up with local non-profit Hope for Henry, who provided children with balloons, gifts and a photographer to take family photos during the visit.

The hospital visit concluded the team’s annual “Season of Giving” campaign, in which the team embarked on several initiatives to give back to the community throughout the holiday season.
