In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, D.C. United hosted their first annual Partido de Estrellas on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Mary Reed Recreation Center. The event gathered local Latino media members, community leaders, local dignitaries and former D.C. United players Jaime Moreno and Luciano Emilio, all of whom participated in charity soccer matches that benefited the Latino Student Fund (LSF). The event was able to fundraise a total of $1,800 for the LSF and the community got to enjoy performances and dances by local musical groups, Salvadoran and Mexican Cuisine from El Tamarindo, and music by local area DJ’s.
