A busy Dwayne De Rosario is lethal, and the reigning MVP had his most active performance of the season in registering four shots against Vancouver. Two of his attempts were on frame, something DeRo had not yet managed in 2012. A clever chip in the 75th minute and a near-post blast nine minutes later nearly opened DeRo's scoring account.

For the second consecutive week, United continues to improve in terms of possession. Though D.C. may not have technically out-possessed Martin Rennie's side, they managed quite a bit of the ball for a road team. As a result, Vancouver showed little of the offensive spark that earned them so much praise earlier this year.

The number of completed passes for Vancouver forward Eric Hassli within 25 yards of D.C. United's goal. Much of the credit here goes to Emiliano Dudar, who harassed the Frenchman to the point of frustration and essentially - with the exception of a 30th minute header that just missed - eliminated Hassli from the Whitecaps' attack.

Overall shots attempted by Vancouver's four most dangerous players. Sebastien Le Toux and David Chiumiento failed to register a single shot, while the lone offerings from Hassli and Camilo Sanvezzo never made it on frame. The foursome had averaged five shots through the Whitecaps' first two matches.
