D.C. United picked up a key road point in its chase for the MLS Cup playoffs on Saturday night in Portland. Here are a look at a few of the statistics from the match.

Midfielder Chris Pontius described the match as "very physical." He should know, Pontius suffered four fouls during the match, the most of any player. His teammate Perry Kitchen suffered three fouls (second most in the match). Pontius cited JELD-WEN's "tight field" as the primary culprit for the "chippy" play. Defender Brandon McDonald echoed Pontius' thoughts on the match, "...it was battle, battle, constant battle."

For the second road match in a row, United managed only two shots on goal. Thankfully, some efficient finishing has lead to a win and draw in those matches, but the Black-and-Red will need to improve that stat if they hope to become more effective at picking up three points away from RFK Stadium. (United averages six shots on goal at home.)

Bill Hamid made four saves against Portland, giving him 78 for the season and a career high. United's young goalkeeper wasn't able to prevent the tying goal, but he made a series of saves to make sure DC left Portland with a point. Hamid leads MLS in Save Percentage (78%) among goalkeepers with 20 or more games played.
