D.C. United and Dreams for Kids DC hosted a fun-filled soccer clinic on Saturday, October 17. Over 100 kids with mental and physical disabilities got the opportunity to practice their soccer skills at RFK’s turf field. Many volunteers assisted the children with passing, dribbling and shooting drills in different stations.
The event also featured D.C. United players Steven Birnbaum and DFKD’s Athlete Ambassador Sean Franklin, who actively engaged with the kids on the field. D.C. United’s mascot Talon was also present giving out high fives, hugs, and even acting as goalie for the kids. The event concluded with a pizza party, an autograph signing session and a group photo of everyone who participated and helped make the clinic a success once again.
