D.C. United spent the ninth day of the "10 Days of Giving" campaign by heading to Capitol Hill for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's Annual Holiday Party for disadvantaged youth. D.C. United staff and supporters entertained the guests, served lunch, and provided resources to make the party possible. This was the Black-and-Red's fifth consecutive year of participation in the event. Representatives from DC public schools and non-profit organizations were also in attendance.
The party consisted of lunch, a performance by the Washington Ballet, a puppet show, and special appearances highlighted by Talon, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and the Congresswoman. D.C. United and the Screaming Eagles organized toy drives prior to the party so each guest could be given a present from Santa or one of his elves at the party.
