D.C. United midfielder Paul Arriola has returned early from USMNT camp ahead of the Black-and-Red's fixture against Minnesota United FC on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Audi Field at 7:30 PM ET on WJLA 24/7 News.
ā€œIā€™m very thankful to have been able to represent the USMNT once again and although I am sad not to be taking part in the friendly against our rival Mexico, I am also excited to get back to playing for D.C. United to continue our strong push for a playoff spot," Arriola said. "I appreciate Dave [Sarachan] and the rest of the National Team technical staff for allowing me to get back to my club for Wednesdayā€™s important match against Minnesota.ā€
With the U.S. only dressing 20 players for Tuesdayā€™s match against Mexico, Arriola will not be replaced. The MNT continues the Kickoff Series with USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T, on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.
