The Black-and-Red defeated Jim Curtin's side at RFK Stadium behind goals from José Ortiz and Luciano Acosta. Ortiz, who was signed on loan in the offseason, scored his first goal for the club in first MLS start. Acosta then scored the game-winning goal from a penalty kick, beating Andre Blake.
May 13, 2017: 4-0 (Union at United)
In the second fixture of the season, the Union defeated United at RFK Stadium behind four different goalscorers.
