Since joining the league in 2009 with the Seattle Sounders, Sébastien Le Toux has accumulated a significant amount of MLS knowledge and insight. While spending a majority of his career up I-95 with the Philadelphia Union, Le Toux spent the 2012 season with the Whitecaps; scoring four goals and recording an assist. Ben Olsen will hope to draw on the Frenchman’s extensive experience of playing at BC Place where he scored three goals in nine starts at the venue during his Whitecap tenure.

The Frenchman is in 16th place out of active players for most appearances at BC Place and his knowledge of the venue can help provide the team with additional insight into how to breakdown a tough Vancouver side, especially on an artificial surface.

Since United signed Le Toux as an MLS free agent on January 24, the nine-year veteran has made a positive impact on the team; scoring two goals in four starts with both of his goals coming away from home. The 33-year-old is capable of playing on the wing or up front and has provided vital depth during a string of United injuries this season. As Le Toux continues to find his form in the nation’s capital, his  knowledge and understanding of the Vancouver team can help provide United with a competitive edge going into the game this Saturday.
