On Saturday night, Bobby Boswell surpassed 30,000 minutes played in his career, becoming only the third player in MLS ever to do so. The United captain has enjoyed an illustrious and decorated career in Major League Soccer, winning MLS Defender of the Year in 2006, two Supporters' Shields (2006, 2007) and MLS Best XI in 2006 and 2014.
He also was named United's Defender and Humanitarian of the Year in 2006 and Houston's Defender of the Year, Fans' Choice Award Winner and Iron Man of the Year in 2008, helping the team finish first in the Western Conference. He was named the Dynamo's Defender of the Year again in 2010 and was a finalist for MLS Defender of the Year in 2014 after returning to Washington.
