Brown made 14 appearances for Shenzhen F.C. of China's League One, scoring seven goals.

In 37 appearances over two seasons for Norwegian top-tier side Valarenga, Brown scored 13 goals.
2013-2015
Brown scored 20 goals in 62 appearances for the Colorado Rapids from 2013-2015 after being selected sixth overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Central Florida. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting after leading Colorado with 10 goals.
Brown has 14 caps with the Jamaican national team and has scored two goals. He made his international debut in a World Cup Qualifier against the USMNT on Oct. 11, 2013 and scored his first international goal against Barbados on March 2, 2014.
United acquired Brown on June 20, 2017, after trading for the number one allocation with the Houston Dynamo.
