Overall thoughts...
"We made some mistakes against a great forward, and now we’re down, 2-0, and the game plan goes out the window because we can’t do simple things that professional soccer players need to do. If you don’t do that, teams aren’t going to let you off the hook now. We’re leading into the playoffs, and they have a striker who is pretty damn good. You’re not going to get let off the hook for little mistakes anymore."
On working to clinch a playoff spot…
"We obviously need to continue to do some soul searching and find a way out. But we’ve got to clean up the wounds that we’re making ourselves. If we don’t do that, we’ll continue to take losses. It’s not cutting it right now. What can we do? We keep rolling. We try to get into the playoffs, and when and if we do, it’s a reset button. That’s the plan right now. But again, we’ve got to make some changes. We’ve got to shake some stuff up because it’s not working right now. That part is on me to figure out."
On potential changes…
"We’re at a point now where you’ve got to do the job. There are some other guys who can bring some life with the game, or I see something different that the games need. I gotta start pulling those cards because what we’re doing isn’t working, and when I say, ‘what we’re doing,’ it’s them and me as a group. We’ve got to do some soul searching as a group to continue to dig out of this. I think there’s a want in the group. Again, it’s a tough stretch, but it’s nothing we haven’t been in before."
