The United States Men's National Team play New Zealand on Oct. 11 at RFK Stadium, the venue that has hosted more national team matches than any other in the world.  Ahead of the match against the Kiwis, take a look at some of the matches played at historic RFK.

The Red, White and Blue most recently played in the nation's capital last September against Peru.  On Sept. 4, 2015, the United States defeated the South Americans 2-1 behind two Jozy Altidore goals in a friendly match.

The number of wins the USMNT have earned at RFK, going 15-3-5 at United's home.

The total number of matches the national team have played at RFK, 10 of which have been friendlies.  Seven World Cup Qualifiers have been held at RFK, along with two Gold Cup matches.  



United have two players currently with the national team for the New Zealand match, goalkeeper Bill Hamid and defender Steve Birnbaum.  Birnbaum made his ninth career international cap against Cuba on Friday, Oct. 7.  Hamid, who has two caps with the national team (including one shutout),  was called into the national team three times in 2015 for friendly matches against Mexico in April, against Costa Rica in October, and for 2018 World Cup Qualifying matches against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago in November. His most recent start came in a friendly against Ireland on Nov. 18, 2014.

The first-ever opponent the U.S. hosted at RFK? The People's Republic of China in 1977.  On Oct. 6, 1977, the Red, White and Blue drew 1-1 with the Chinese.

Hamid and Birnbaum, who have never been on the field at the same time for the U.S. Men's National Team, have never played at RFK for the USA.
