For the second consecutive year, D.C. United's academy is participating in the International U-14, a summer tournament hosted by the Montreal Impact with clubs from around Canada, the U.S. and Italy played from June 29 to July 2.
Last year, in the inaugural edition of the tournament, the Black-and-Red's under-14 team won the championship after defeating Bologna FC on penalty kicks.
“[This event] will allow young players from everywhere in Quebec, the United States and Italy to live special moments, build memories and experiences in Montreal,” said the Montreal Impact president, Joey Saputo. “We can be proud of that.”
