Zoltán Stieber, one of United's summer additions from 1. FC Kaiserslautern (German 2. Bundesliga), has been named to the Hungarian national team roster for the European country's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Stieber, who has 21 caps for his country, joined his international teammates following the Black-and-Red's victory against the New England Revolution. Hungary host Latvia on Aug. 31 and Portugal on Sept. 3 in Budapest. The 28-year-old has previously represented his country at the 2016 European Championship, where he scored against Austria, and in various World Cup and Euro qualifying matches.
Hungary, currently ranked 56th in the world, are in third place in Group B with seven points. Group leaders Switzerland have 18 points, followed by Portugal with 15.
