The Black-and-Red's next Open Cup opponent is set. United will host Orlando City in the Round of 16 at the Maryland SoccerPlex on June 20. Kickoff will be at 7 PM ET.
On Tuesday night, United and USL side North Carolina FC battled to a 1-1 draw during regulation, with neither side finding a breakthrough in extra time. The Black-and-Red buried four of their penalty kicks to NCFC's three to secure the win and advance to the next round.
Down south, Orlando faced Miami United on Wednesday night and cruised to a 3-0 victory to earn their spot in the Round of 16. United and Orlando have already met once this MLS seasonāthe Lions hosted the Black-and-Red in their season opener on March 3, with the teams fighting to a 1-1 draw.
United will return to the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland, for the next stage of the competition. General admission tickets are available for $20, with free parking on a first come, first served basis. Click here to purchase.
