The 2024 Major League Soccer season has arrived, and D.C. United begin their new campaign at Audi Field against the New England Revolution on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Black-and-Red will take the field with a fresh look this season, sporting a new home kit embellished with a new front-of-kit partner Guidehouse, a DMV-based global consultancy. SATURDAY, FEB. 24 - D.C. UNITED vs. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION (7:30 PM)
- Season Opener / Legends Night
- The Black-and-Red kick off their 2024 MLS campaign with a season-opening match against the New England Revolution. The club will honor local Washington, D.C. sports legends at the match. For more information and tickets, click here.
D.C. UNITED ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR FRONT-OF-KIT PARTNERSHIP WITH GUIDEHOUSE
- D.C. United announced a multi-year front-of-kit partnership with Guidehouse, a DMV-based global provider of consulting services to public sector and commercial markets, with broad capabilities in risk management, technology, and risk consulting. The Guidehouse logo will be found prominently on the front of D.C. United’s home and away kits beginning with the 2024 Major League Soccer season, as well as the kits for the D.C. United Academy and professional eMLS team. Notably, this front-of-kit partnership becomes the first-of-its kind in Major League Soccer between a club and a global consultancy. D.C. UNITED LAUNCH NEW HOME KIT: THE ICON KIT
- D.C. United launched their new home kit for the 2024 season on Thursday, Feb. 15. Inspired by the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge that neighbors Audi Field, the Icon Kit represents what it means to be united – as a community, a city, and a club. D.C. UNITED ANNOUNCE COACH APPOINTMENTS
D.C. United Hire Troy Lesesne as new Head Coach
- D.C. United have announced that Troy Lesesne has been named as the club’s new Head Coach and has signed a three-year deal with the Black-and-Red through 2026. Lesesne joins the club after serving as the interim head coach for the New York Red Bulls last season in which he posted a 10-9-4 record, qualifying for the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs. D.C. United Appoint Zach Prince as Assistant Coach
- Prince joins the Black-and-Red coaching staff from the New York Red Bulls where he served as an assistant coach under current D.C. United Head Coach, Troy Lesesne. Prince was also a part of Lesesne’s coaching staff at New Mexico United and played under him at both the College of Charleston (NCAA) and the Charleston Battery (USL Championship). D.C. United Appoint Alex Martínez as Assistant Coach
- Martínez joins the Black-and-Red coaching staff from Birmingham Legion FC of the USL Championship where he served as an assistant coach while also working closely with the Legion FC Academy. Martínez reunites with current D.C. United Head Coach, Troy Lesesne, after playing for him on the Charlotte Independence of the USL Championship for three seasons from 2016-2018. D.C. United Appoint Cody Mizell as Head of Goalkeeping
- D.C. United have acquired New York City FC goalkeeper Cody Mizell for $50,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM). Upon completion of the trade, Mizell retired from professional soccer and has joined the D.C. United first team staff as a goalkeeper coach under Head Coach Troy Lesesne. Mizell reunites with Lesesne after playing under him at both the Charlotte Independence and New Mexico United in the USL Championship. For more information, click here.
D.C. UNITED 2024 PRESEASON FIXTURES AND RESULTS
- D.C. United players reported to the Inova Performance Complex in Leesburg, Va., on Monday, Jan. 15 before traveling to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The club trained at King Abdullah Sports City, a state-of-the-art stadium and training facility in Jeddah, and played four exhibition matches:
- Jan. 30 – vs. Sudan National Team
- Feb. 3 – vs. Al Wedha FC
- Feb. 6 – vs. Al-Hilal SC
- Feb. 9 – vs. Al-Ettifaq FC
- D.C. United finished their preseason with an exhibition match against fellow Major League Soccer (MLS) side FC Dallas on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Toyota Stadium.
D.C. UNITED 2024 SEASON KICK-OFF FAN FEST
- On Sunday, February 18, D.C. United hosted a Fan Fest at Throw Social where 2024 Season Ticket Members were joined by D.C United players, coaches, front office staff, and Talon! AUDI FIELD
WASHINGTON SPIRIT ANNOUNCE 2024 SCHEDULE
- The Washington Spirit released its full 2024 schedule of home and away fixtures! This season will consist of 26 regular season matches with the Spirit hosting and visiting each of the other 13 NWSL clubs once. The Spirit will kick off their 2024 campaign on the road at the Seattle Reign on Sunday, March 17 before returning to Audi Field to host Bay FC on Saturday, March 23 for the home opener. - In addition to Guidehouse being featured on the front of D.C. SOCCER & SOAR: NATIONAL GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SPORTS DAY
- As part of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, D.C. United hosted Latina's Leading Tomorrow at Audi Field on Wednesday, Feb. 7. In addition to facilitating workshops for the students, Danita Johnson, D.C. United’s President of Business Operations, spoke to the group about the sports industry, her career path, and navigating the corporate world.
SOCCER & SOAR: URBAN ALLIANCE EXECUTIVE SHADOW DAY
- For the third year in a row, D.C. United have teamed up with Urban Alliance to provide professional experience to local high school students. As an extension of Urban Alliance’s commitment to build a more equitable workforce, D.C. United will host students at the Audi Field Offices as they spend the day with members of the front office team and receive hands-on industry experience and mentorship from individuals across various departments of the organization.

- The D.C. United Foundation aims to provide youth in the DMV with the tools necessary to soar on and off the pitch, while also seeking to level the playing field for communities by harnessing the power of sport. FANDUEL SPORTSBOOK
- At Audi Field’s FanDuel Sportsbook, you can place bets on your favorite teams and have a winning experience with a full-service sportsbook. Located just inside Gate A on the north side of the stadium, FanDuel Sportsbook is open Monday – Friday (1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and Saturday – Sunday (10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.). - The Club Shop is your destination for D.C. United merchandise at Audi Field. Located near Gate A, fans can access the Club Shop from inside the stadium behind the Heineken Rooftop bar on matchdays. The D.C. United Club Shop re-opened on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and will operate Tues-Sat (12 p.m.- 5 p.m.) You can also shop online here.
