United Academy hosting College Identification Showcase

D.C. United are hosting a College Identification Showcase on June 30 and July 1, in which players ages 15 - 18 will participate in on-field sessions supplemented with a classroom seminar on the college recruiting process. The event provides players with a platform to showcase their talents in front of some of the top college coaches in the United States, while also arming themselves with tools and vital insight as they navigate the college recruiting process.

Daily Itinerary


Day 1: June 30

  • 8:30 AM - Player Check-In
  • 9 AM-11 AM: Session I (on-field)
  • 11 AM-1:45 PM: Lunch
  • 2 - 4 PM: Session II (seminar)
  • 4 - 5:45 PM: Dinner
  • 6 - 7:30 PM: Session III (on-field)


Day 2: July 1

  • 8:45 AM - Arrival
  • 9 AM-11 AM: Session I (on-field)
  • 11 AM-1:45 PM: Lunch*
  • 2 - 4 PM: Session II (on-field)
  • 4 PM - Closing Remarks

Register

As part of the Winter College ID Camp, the U-17 and U-19 D.C. United Academy teams will compete in a friendly. Top players from the camp will be selected to join in the match and showcase themselves in front of college coaches and D.C. United Academy staff. Along with being considered for future Homegrown professional contracts, current D.C. United Academy players have most recently made commitments to attend top schools including the University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and University of Pittsburgh.
