United defender Taylor Kemp has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2017 season after the 27-year-old underwent successful surgery by Dr. Michael Brunt, a hernia specialist in St. Louis, to repair a lower abdominal repair on Thursday, Aug. 15. He is expected to be ready for the start of preseason in 2018.
The left-sided defender made 22 appearances for the Black-and-Red this season (all starts), playing in every minute of every game he played. He made his 100th appearance for the club on July 29 against Minnesota United FC.
