While injuries and surgery have plagued Lewis Neal this season, his leadership never wavered. His heroics in the Open Cup final will always be remembered, but last night, he showed why his habit of scoring in October shouldn't surprise us. Named captain among a young line up, Neal stayed composed throughout the match. We looked disorganized at times and couldn't seem to connect in the final third, but our captain kept his cool. He worked hard, won battles in the middle of the park and accounted for about 17% of all our passes-- which shows not only do his teammates trust him with the ball, but he works hard to get it himself as well.
Join us for our last home game of the season and Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, October 27 at 1:30 pm at RFK Stadium as we take on Houston. Buy your tickets now.
