When it comes to goalscoring experience, look no further than Frenchman Sébastien Le Toux. The 33-year-old is the only active player in Major League Soccer to have scored at least 55 goals and record at least 55 assists.
In addition to his league success, however, the Rennes, France, native has also substantially enjoyed playing in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup; he is the all-time leader in goals scored for North America's oldest club soccer competition, with 16.
While playing for the then-USL side Seattle Sounders, Le Toux scored five goals in the tournament in back-to-back seasons (2007 and 2008). In 2014, he got on the scoresheet three more times before scoring twice in the 2015 edition of the tournament (including a game-winning goal in the semifinals) for the Philadelphia Union.
With such an experienced and proven goalscorer in his ranks, head coach Ben Olsen will be comfortable with Le Toux and his experience in their fourth round match against Christos FC on Tuesday, June 13 at 7:30 PM at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
