WASHINGTON – D.C. United (8-3-4, 28 points) won its second straight game and came from behind for the third time in a row at home with a 3-1 win over the Chicago Fire (4-6-2, 14 points).
United, which currently leads in the MLS Supporters’ Shield standings, also extended its unbeaten streak at RFK Stadium to 20 straight games in all competitions – setting a new franchise record – including 16 consecutive in league play dating back to June 2014.
After David Accam put Chicago ahead in the 28th minute, United scored three goals in 15 minutes midway through the second half. Jairo Arrieta scored in the 61st and 69th minutes, giving him a team-leading five goals for the season, and Conor Doyle scored in the 75th minute, his first goal since August 2013, to give United a two-goal lead.
United goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra saved a penalty kick in the first half.
D.C. United returns to action versus Toronto FC on Saturday, June 6 (CSN, 7).
D.C. United’s off to the franchise’s best start since 2006, when the team was 9-1-5 (32 points) after 15 matches.
United has set a club record by going unbeaten in 20 straight games (16-0-4) in all competitions at RFK Stadium, including 15 straight in league play (12-0-4). The last loss came against Seattle in June 2014.
D.C. United came from behind to win for the third consecutive game at home.

D.C. United improved to 4-3-1 in 2015 when conceding the first goal, and it improved to 2-2-1 when trailing at halftime.
Jairo Arrieta recorded his fourth and team-leading fifth goals of 2015, the 20th and 21st of his MLS career.
Conor Doyle scored his first goal of 2015, and the third of his MLS career. It was his first goal since August, 17, 2013 – a span of 37 appearances.
Fabián Espíndola recorded his second and third assists of 2015, the 30th and 31st of his MLS career.
Nick DeLeon recorded his second assist of 2015, the 12th of his MLS career.
Espíndola entered in the 46th minute, appearing for the first time following a six-game absence due to a thigh contusion. He has one goal and three assists in his last three halves.
Goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra made his third appearance of 2015.
Head Coach Ben Olsen’s overall record is now 57-67-39. He is 3-4-5 vs. Chicago.
