Costa Rican forward José Guillermo Ortiz, who United acquired on loan back in December, scored a brace in his debut for los Ticos over the weekend.  Ortiz, 24, is in Panama for the 2017 Copa Centroamericana tournament and had quite a day against Belize, opening the scoring in the 25th minute before providing an assist and scoring again in the second half.

The forward showed off his nose for goal in the first half, redirecting a bouncing header just in front of the Belize goalkeeper to give Costa Rica the lead.

Early on in the second half, Ortiz took on defenders at the corner of the box, dribbled past both and ripped a shot that caromed off the near post.  Fellow MLS player Johan Venegas put home the rebound to double their lead.

Not long after, Ortiz got on the board again in similar style to the first goal. On another corner, the former Alajuelense attacker set up in front of the net and redirected a header past the keeper to give Costa Rica a 3-0 lead.
