NEWS | In a historic move, D.C. United officially announce “Ronnie the Raccoon” as the new secondary mascot on April 1, 2022

Welcome Ronnie!

D.C. United have officially announced a new secondary mascot to complement Talon the Eagle. In a historic move, the club has welcomed “Ronnie the Raccoon” as the secondary mascot for D.C. United.

Ronnie the Raccoon hails from the grounds of RFK Stadium, where his appearance both delighted and shocked Black-and-Red fans. He is known for his stealth, sense of humor, and frolicking in dumpsters.

“I suppose I’m happy to learn this. As long as Ronnie stays away from my territory we can co-exist. I’m not sure I love him or hate him, but I’m glad to have him,” Talon, D.C. United Mascot, said.

The Black-and-Red are delighted to officially welcome Ronnie as a secondary mascot at the club to support Talon. Both Ronnie and Talon will continue to be integral parts to the club’s traditions.

Finally… April Fools!
