More than 17,000 tickets have been sold for Sunday’s Eastern Conference Championship at RFK Stadium between D.C. United and the Houston Dynamo. Tickets are selling quickly, but good seats still remain for United’s first appearance in the Eastern Conference Championship since 2006. Should United advance past the Dynamo, the team would host MLS Cup at RFK Stadium on Saturday, December 1.

“While there are still good seats available, we fully expect this match will sell out,” said D.C. United President and CEO Kevin Payne. “Sunday’s crowd will be the most raucous and boisterous crowd we’ve had in years and we know our supporters will make it incredibly difficult for Houston’s players.”
Sunday’s game is set to kickoff at 4 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network. Tickets may be purchased by visiting dcunited.com/tickets or by calling 202-587-5000. Fans are encouraged to wear black to Sunday’s match.
The conference championship is a two-game, total-goals series. D.C. United fell to Houston 3-1 on Sunday in the first leg and will need to either win by three goals or secure a two-goal advantage during regulation in order to force overtime and, if necessary, penalty kicks.
“RFK is a fortress,” said D.C. United midfielder Nick DeLeon after Sunday’s match. “We always seem to be on top of our game there, so I don’t have any worries. I know we can win by two or more goals against [Houston].”
Including playoffs, D.C. United is 12-0-5 at RFK Stadium since losing the home opener to Kansas City on March 10. The team had 15 multi-goal games during the regular season, including six games in which the team scored three goals and another three in which the team tallied four times. United won six games at home by two or more goals during the regular season, while the Dynamo lost seven games on the road by two or more goals.
