Seven D.C. United Academy graduates have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to further their academic and athletic careers at Division I universities following high school graduation.
Isaiah Chisolm is set to attend the University of Kentucky after 5 seasons in the D.C. United Academy system.
Marques Nana-Sinkam, who spent time developing with then Pathway 2 Pro (P2P) club, Richmond United before joining D.C. United, will take the next step in his career at College of the Holy Cross.
Defender Jace Clark and goalkeeper Saxon Walcott join a long list of academy graduates to continue their playing and academic careers at the University of Maryland.
Brandon Meminger, who joined the club at age 10, and Jeremiah Paulin, who joined at age 12, are also set to compete locally, committing to Loyola University and Old Dominion University, respectively.
Drew Hartman, who is also a product of Pathway 2 Pro (P2P) club Alexandria Soccer Association, will attend the University of Portland.
“We would like to congratulate all recent D.C. United Academy graduates who will compete collegiately next year,” Academy Director Pat Ouckama said. “While in the academy, they all represented the values and traditions of the club, and we know they will continue to do so in their future endeavors both on and off the field.”
