What to Know?
After falling to Nashville SC on Saturday, D.C. United flew to Dallas for quick turnaround and a July 4 matchup against the fifth place team in the Western Conference, FC Dallas.Â
Dallas is led by head coach Nico Estévez who is in his second season with the club after serving as an assistant coach with the United States Men's National Team from 2019-2021. Continuing the Toro's ties to the USMNT is 22-year-old striker Jesus Ferreira, is currently on National Team duty as the Stars-and-Stripes are progressing through the Gold Cup. Dallas will have to look elsewhere for offensive firepower on Tuesday night as Ferreira has netted 10 goals for his club so far in the 2023 season.Â
D.C. United will look to put Saturday night's 2-0 loss behind them and secure much needed away points as they will need to finish in ninth place or higher if they are to return to the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2019.
