Luciano Acosta has won the MLS Goal of the Month after winning AT&T MLS Goal of the Week (week 8) for his 86th-minute goal against the New England Revolution on Saturday. The goal, an audacious chip from outside the penalty area, was Acosta's first in MLS. After receiving a cross from Álvaro Saborío on the right side of the field, Acosta was left 1v1 against José Gonçalves. Instead of dribbling past the Revolution defender, Acosta looked up and lofted a ball over New England goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth for his first career MLS goal.
