United midfielder Ian Harkes has won AT&T Goal of the Week for his effort against FC Dallas on July 4. The Homegrown Player scored his first career MLS goal in the 30th minute after Patrick Nyarko laid the ball off to Harkes at the top of the penalty area. The former Demon Deacon hit the ball first-time with the inside of his foot, going off the underside of the crossbar and past Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez.
