This past season, former D.C. United midfielder, Clyde Simms, has been battling kidney disease. The midfielder underwent a successful transplant surgery last week, but because of complications after the surgery, he will need another transplant.
As he awaits another match, Simms says, "I will work towards a full recovery, go back on dialysis, and back to the donor wait list for a new kidney"
