D.C. United hosted their inaugural Kick Childhood Cancer night during their match against Atlanta United on Sept. 2. While all of September is Kick Childhood Cancer month throughout MLS, Sunday's match featured a variety of activations and elements to raise awareness for childhood cancer, including gold match balls, nets, corner flags, fireworks, and supporters smoke; special warm-up shirts and jersey patches; "My Honored Heroes" signs in conjunction with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and a "Mason Strong" tribute to Mason Mazzuca.
