Now with 100 goals to choose from, selecting a favoritestrike is no small task for D.C. United’s Dwayne De Rosario. Nonetheless, we asked the Black-and-Redcaptain to give us the most memorable goals from his twelve-year MLS career.

9) Fastest goal in MLS History - 9/27/2003
A torn ACL robbed De Rosario of much of his 2003 campaign,but his comeback was ignited by a hat trick in a 5-2 win over Dallas in late September. De Rosario scored 11 seconds into thegame, setting a record that still stands for the fastest goal in leaguehistory.
8) MLS Goal of the Year – 8/7/2004
Against D.C. United, Brian Mullan served up a cross that DeRosario couldn’t resist. Histhunderous volley smashed into the upper corner of Troy Perkins’ net.
7) MLS Goal of the Year Part II – 10/14/2005
In the California Clasico, De Rosario showed off his setpiece skills to their fullest. Inthe 45th minute, DeRo bent his free kick around the Galaxy wall and past ahelpless Kevin Hartmann.
6) MLS All-Star Game vs Manchester United – 7/28/2010
It may have come in the 90th minute of a 5-2 defeat, butanytime you beat Wes Brown and Edwin van der Sar on the same play – it deservesa spot on the list.
5) MLS All-Star Game vs Chelsea – 8/5/2006
With twenty minutes left in a scoreless affair, De Rosariotook matters into his own hands. Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel was all over DeRo, but it wasn’t enough as thewould-be MVP ripped a shot that left Portuguese goalie Hilario dumbfounded.
4) 100 – 8/29/2012

3) The Opener – 4/7/2001
De Rosario’s first goal came in the first half-hour of hisfirst MLS match. In the 27thminute, DeRo put San Jose up 3-0 on Los Angeles with a left-footed strike.
2) MLS Cup ’07 – 11/18/2007
There were only 16 minutes left in the final when De Rosariostruck to give Houston a 2-1 lead. Brad Davis provided the service for DeRo’s clinical header finish.
1) MLS Cup ’01 – 10/21/2001
De Rosario capped his first MLS campaign with anextra-time game winner in the league championship. His thoughts:
“Itfirst stamped my name in this league. Not only for myself, but for Canadian players as a whole. Especially to do it with a Canadiancoach in Frank Yallop, that was a special time for all of us... To score the goal that helped my team win a championship in my first season was even more special.”
