“Today was a good performance,” said D.C. United U-18 Head Coach Nolan Sheldon. “We did well to control play and create a number of quality chances. The team still needs quite a bit more urgency to score goals and close out games, which will be our focus this week in training.”

The U-16s (3-2-3) continued the scoring trend against the Virginia Rush with a 5-1 win. Owen Marshall (
Bethesda
,
Md.
; DC Stoddert) scored in the 5th minute off a Juarez Milton (

“Overall, it was a great response to the previous week’s performance,” said D.C. United U-16 Head Coach Tom Torres. “The boys brought a strong mentality and kept the ball for most of the match and in their opponent’s half. We were happy with their effort and will challenge them to keep their concentration levels high this week.”

. Gill added the sixth and final goal in the 79th minute off a Lemma cross.

“It was a solid performance on both sides of the ball,” said D.C. United U-14 Head Coach Jonathan Frias. “It was good to see some of the guys gaining confidence in the final third and defensively getting another clean sheet. Our focus this week in training will be to have better shape in transition going forward.”
