D.C. United and Audi of America Partner for Sustainability Night at Audi Field on April 29

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 24, 2023) – D.C. United and Audi have partnered for a sustainability-themed match at Audi Field on Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. EST when the Black-and-Red face-off against Charlotte FC. In addition to the focus on building a more electrified and sustainable future through the visibility of a thematic match day, D.C. United and Audi will also host several supporting initiatives to promote a sustainable lifestyle and future.

A comprehensive list of the sustainably minded efforts led by D.C. United and Audi tied to this theme match includes:

  • Electrify America: Audi will showcase its residential HomeStationTM charger and latest generation DC fast public charger, which are helping make the world a more sustainable place by encouraging electric vehicle adoption through access to charging infrastructure and education.
  • One Tree Planted for Every Fan in Attendance: For every fan in attendance on April 29, a tree will be planted via ForestPlanet in support of a critical reforestation project on the Indian Ocean coast, funded by Audi.
  • Fan Giveaway, Audi Drawstring Bags: Upon exit, 5,000 Audi-branded drawstring bags, which are made from 100% recyclable materials, will be distributed to fans at the Audi Field gates.
  • Electric Vehicle Displays: Audi Field is home to three prominent vehicle displays showcasing some of Audi’s fully electric fleet. Near the Gate A and C entrances, fans can take a look at the new Audi Q8 e-tron, the Audi Q4 e-tron, and RS e-tron GT.
