While Steven Birnbaum won't be on the pitch this weekend due to D.C. United's bye, the defender will be hitting the runway instead, partnering with his dog, Ham, for the Humane Rescue Alliance's annual Fashion for Paws event this Saturday, May 5.
Fashion for Paws launched in 2007 and has since raised more than $4 million for the Humane Rescue Alliance, which works to promote the safety and welfare of all animals and to bring people and animals closer together. Birnbaum and Ham will join other owner-dog duos for the event's fashion show this Saturday, taking on the runway in support of the organization.
The event is slated for 7 PM - 12 AM, with the runway show starting at 9 PM, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in D.C.—general admission, VIP, individual table seat, at table tickets are still available.
