United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has won MLS Save of the Week for his effort against Hungarian Nemanja Nikolic in the 17th minute of the Black-and-Red's match against the Chicago Fire on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The Virginia native came up with several impressive stops in the first half, including his early reaction save from Nikolic's close-range shot. Hamid is on the verge of 100 saves for the year, a feat he has only achieved two other times in his career (2014 and 2015), and recorded six total saves on the night.
The nomination was his eighth of 2017.
