The word “winner” is always associated with the Black-and-Red captain, Bobby Boswell.
When D.C. United selected Boswell in the first stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft, General Manager Dave Kasper said, “Bobby is seasoned veteran and a winner.”

Davy Arnaud recently stated, “He’s an organizer on the field, he’s a leader on the field, and ultimately, he’s a winner.”
Head Coach Ben Olsen added: “he's been around the block and he knows what it takes to win in this league.”
Boswell has been in MLS for 10 seasons, playing 290 games and starting all but three of those. The captain is tied for first in most games started this year, but leads the league as a centerback, starting the most games since 2005 with 287. Most impressively, since 2005, Boswell’s teams have sat out the postseason only once.
