Luciano Acosta has been named MLS' Audi Player Index spotlight player thanks to his incredible performance in United's 3-2 win over Orlando City SC at Audi Field on Sunday night. Acosta earned 1,553 points in the Audi Player Index on the night, good for best in the league in Week 24.

The Argentine scored his first-career hat trick, which included a jaw-dropping last-second goal that saw Wayne Rooney track back to halt an empty-net counterattack by Orlando, win a tackle, and send a cross to the far post, where Acosta out-jumped his defender to head his third goal of the night past Joe Bendik for the win.

Before his dramatic stoppage-time score, the midfielder netted two other beauties—a close-range rocket of a strike just before halftime that was also assisted by Rooney, and a volley on which Acosta sacrificed his body to a pummeling in order to score.

Acosta also had a 100% shot accuracy rate, a 75% strike rate, four key passes, and an 81% successful passes in the opposition's half rate on the evening.
