Arlington Soccer Association
Arlington Soccer Association has four travel teams ranked nationally in the top 10. According to the most recent rankings published by GotSoccer, the U-17 Boys Strikers Red is ranked 4th, the U-16 Boys Impact Red is ranked 4th, the U-15 Boys Attack Red is ranked 6th and the U-14 Boys Eagles Red is ranked first nationally. There is no other club in the country that has more teams ranked in the top ten.
Arlington Soccer Association is also hosting its first college ID camp in May. The sessions will be held on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at Long Bridge Park in Arlington, Va.. NCAA college coaches will run all sessions at the ID camp. Boys U15-U18 are invited to register.
Stafford Soccer
Stafford Soccer’s Nolan Smith of the Revolution ‘95 Boys Blue Team has been named to the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys NCAA Interregional All-Star team. Along with being a Virginia State and Region I ODP player, Smith is also the starting goalkeeper for the Colonial Forge High School Varsity team.
“This is excellent news,” said Stafford Soccer Technical Director Barry Hill. “Nolan has put in a lot of hard work over the past couple of years. He has worked extremely hard and deserves this recognition.”
Tyler Colgan from North Stafford High School has made his college commitment to the Virginia Military Institute. Colgan is a central defender for the Revolution 95’ Boys Blue team and a 4-year Varsity starter at North Stafford. “I am very happy to hear that Tyler is going to play at VMI,” said Hill. “He is an excellent young man who is always looking to improve his game.”
Beach FC
Beach FC has had 42 players chosen to represent the Virginia in Olympic Development Program. They will train and compete at the state level with ODP.
The D.C. United Academy has six Affiliate clubs that actively help identify, develop and monitor players in the Maryland, Virginia and D.C. area. The current Affiliate Members are Annandale Boys and Girls Soccer Club, Arlington Soccer Association, Beach FC, Maryland United, Northern Virginia Soccer Club and Stafford Soccer.
