The 2023 eMLS season kicks off this week for D.C. United and KingCJ0!
Tuesday and Wednesday’s League Series 1 Remote Qualifiers will mark the start of the sixth edition of Major League Soccer’s EA Sports FIFA competition.
In November, the club announced KingCJ0’s return for a third season in Black-and-Red. After finishing runner-up in last year’s eMLS Cup Final, the 22-year-old Johannesburg native hopes to bring home his first title.
The journey to that first title begins with 13 qualifying matches, streamed live on D.C. United’s Twitch channel.

But the one KingCJ0 and everyone will have circled is his matchup with Atlanta United’s Paulo Neto, who he fell narrowly to in last year’s eMLS Cup final.
The top 22 clubs will book their spot at the main event in New York City. The Group Stage will take place on Saturday, January 28. From there, the top 12 players will compete for a share of the $25,000 prize pool and the League Series 1 title on Sunday, January 29—streaming live on MLS Twitch and Twitter.
