DC SCORES creates neighborhood teams that give kids in need the skills and confidence to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom, and in life. By using an innovative model combining soccer, poetry, and service-learning year-round, DC SCORES serves over 3,000 children within the District.​

Special Olympics D.C. provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
